Chegg CheggMate policy finding

“ If you use a feature of our Services that is integrated with, facilitated by, or otherwise assisted by artificial intelligence, such as our Q&A Service (collectively, “AI-Assisted Features”), your inputs are “User Content” and the outputs of that service are “Chegg Content” as those terms are described in other sections of these Terms of Use. Without limiting your license to Chegg set forth in these Terms of Use, you expressly grant to Chegg the right to use User Content submitted to such AI-Assisted Features to train Chegg’s artificial intelligence (AI) and other large language model (LLM) technologies and to incorporate the User Content into answers, replies, and other outputs from the AI-Assisted Features or Chegg’s other services. Please note that you acquire no rights in the Chegg Content that is output by the AI-Assisted Features, and that such outputs may be inaccurate and/or be subject to third party rights. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you do not use Chegg Content that is the output of an AI-Assisted Feature in a way that violates a third party’s rights. If we offer the ability to clear your chat history or to not save your chat history, and you choose to exercise that option, we may still use your User Content as set forth in your license to us under these Terms of Use, but we will do so in a de-identified manner. Except as otherwise described in the posted Privacy Policy with respect to consumer rights requests, you agree that your User Content will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary and will not be returned. Do not enter your or others’ personal information.”
